Fly fishing, fly fishing directory
Fly fishing is something that fascinates us utterly. Beloved grayling brookies, dreaming salmon and steelhead, great rods and flies. The latter are that something at the end that connects us to the fish. In our boxes there are the catchable ones, but also the beautiful ones. There are also those that we want to have, but don't necessarily want to fish for, because there is some magic in them. Some kind of charm.
All of them, you could say, are downright fabulous, but different for each individual. When shooting flies, we try to make them refined, polished. Many of us shoot flies for several days at a time, making sure that every element is polished to the limit. Sometimes a detail, a small detail causes the bow tie to be made all over again. But it's worth it, because the result is often beautiful.
The fly gallery, but also the fly catalog is so that you can enter a world of fascination, a world where everyone will stop for a moment, breathe, maybe get some inspiration for their flies and their imagination. The gallery is created by spinners for whom spinning itself is pure pleasure, passion, a world in which they begin to exist. And they want to share this world with others."
Fly Gallery has its origins in 2008. The idea was born during one of the stays on the Dunajec River (U Marysi), among anglers who had a meeting at the time (I was a participant). The idea was to show artificial flies of the best flytiers in Poland, who have knowledge, experience and abilities. A large part of them then were already legends in their home centers or regions. A large part of the flies already have a history of more than 15 years. These flies are not always "strictly" catalog flies, but they have something in them or show some details that are important when fishing. A certain number of "spinners" did not want to show their flies at all. For various reasons. Some out of innate modesty (because who wanted to see these flies) and some simply thought that they were not suitable for such a kind of catalog.
Thanks to my persistence, you can see the wonders or flies that these wonderful anglers are fishing for. Because they fish on all of these flies. No exceptions.
After some time, I came to the conclusion that since the Gallery was successful, I began to invite foreign flytiers to it. To my surprise they were very eager to use it. And to this day they continue to send their flies. The circle began to grow, which can only please, because there are already a lot of guests from abroad.
The world has moved forward, technology has moved forward. So, too, the Fly Gallery has moved forward with a new coat, image. I hope you will accept it as your own and drink more than a few coffees looking and looking for inspiration for yourselves in creating your own flies. Not everything has been shown and invented yet.... Everyone has their time and their flies.
