Flies of the participants of the Suprasl 2020 fly tying championships

Ladies and Gentlemen , this is the most important announcement of the competition. The chairman of the judging panel proposed , with the approval of the rest of the organizers, the following fly patterns for the Championship :

blackberry-gray (hen,coot,any soft feather in gray color)

Greenwell`s Glory Dry Fly

blackberry-brown or greenwell(brown badger with black center)

Alexandra wet fly
hook-#8 for wet
Tail-red bands of ailerons,rudders,coats (goose,turkey,swan)
tulowik-silver,flat lamé
wrap-silver wire or oval lamé
wings-stripes sword feather peacock
cheeks-as-tail
blackberry-black hen

March Brown Dry Fly

tailbone-bronze mallard
trunk-hare hair
scroll-yellow silk
wings-lots of pheasant hen
blackberry-brown rooster,in front of him dorsal partridges

And for the finale, Muddler Minnow

wings-a strand of hair from the tail of a squirrel (gray),on top of that strands from the rudders/flaps of a turkey
head-muddler made of deer or deer hair

These are all unusual flies, reflecting the beauty and elegance of the hobby we are engaged in . How far from the deadly effective but nothing to do with flies , "parkinsons" and other rubber scarabs .

As usual, we evaluate compliance with the prescription,hook selection,proportions,aesthetics and the overall image of the fly.The decisions of the judges are not subject to discussion,change or any verification-they are final.In the event of a tie, the head of the judging panel has the deciding vote.

Our competitions are all about having fun and pursuing a common passion . Fairness, camaraderie rivalry and good humor we put first. This does not mean that the strict judging is devoid of professionalism and merciless criticism of the flies made. At the end of the day , we are to determine the Polish Champion for 2020.
