Comment:
Issue 8 of Fishing News of 1939 is a true white raven. Due to the start of the war, this issue has not been distributed to subscribers or outlets. It is not in any of the public libraries in Poland checked out so far (they did not receive a legal copy). It is not known how many copies of this issue have survived, but probably no more than a few. One of them was in the library of the late Jan M. Kochanski, who kindly provided me with a photocopy of the issue. In order to save this issue from disappearance, and to make it available to all those interested in the history of Polish angling, I made a scan of this issue. It is worth noting that this issue contains, among other things, one of the oldest pieces of information on how to make an artificial fly.
